The Osea room bar opens at 19:00 and the talk starts in the main upper deck club room room at 19:30
James Cook was an intrepid 18th century British explorer famous for his 3 voyages in which he mapped New Zealand and the East Coast of Australia, discovered the ice sheet of Antarctica and looked for the Northwest Passage. He met his death tragically in 1779 when he was killed by natives in Hawaii. The talk will outline his adventures with particular reference to my personal experience of some of the places he visited.
No need to book, just turn up. Non members from other sailing clubs welcome.
